to Stacy, when Turnstone employs a subcon-
tractor for the first time, they almost always
want to come back and work for them on a
regular basis due to their exceptional work
ethic.
"We keep a very clean jobsite, a very safe job
site, and we also communicate very well," she
said."Our superintendents have the experi-
ence to keep the project moving in a positive
direction, which subcontractors always ap-
preciate. We work with our subcontractors
onsite as a team because we have the same
goals: we want to do quality work and we all
want to reach the financial goals set forth in
the budget. When we can do that together,
it creates a great environment for everybody."
EXCELLENCE IN
CONSTRUCTION
In 2014, Turnstone earned two Excellen-
cein Construction Awards from the Associ-
ated Builders and Contractors' (ABC) New
Hampshire/Vermont Chapter. Specifically,
the company’s repairs to the Amherst Town
Hall's attic and exterior won an award in the
'Historical Restoration' category, while their
renovations to the Great Bay Community
College (Rochester campus) in Portsmouth
took home an award in the 'Design/Build'
category.
"It's an honor," Stacy remarked."The two
projects particularly meant a lot to the own-
ers as well. They were very, very excited and
wear these awards proudly within their own
organizations."
Due to its historical classification, the Am-
herst Town Hall project required strategic
planning and precise execution. Therenova-
