ters further, the college was also lacking a
program director, college director and even
a curriculum at the time Turnstone started
the project.
"There was not a lot information given as to
what they were going to absolutely need, and
there was no information given on the com-
posite lab that was going to be out back, so
it was sort of an unknown," Stacy recalled.
"We basically had to design and build the
first section, and then start working with the
people that they brought on as they went.
I would say that was the biggest challenge,
particularly working on the composite lab
with people who were new to these positions
to get all of the equipment that was required
while also ensuring they had all of the right
requirements for those pieces of equipment."
Their ability to overcome these difficulties−
inaddition to the excellentworkmanshipthat
was delivered on each project−assured their
success at the Excellence in Construction
Awards. To acknowledge their outstanding
performance, Stacy and William brought
the entire team to the event to partake in the
festivities and revel in the well-deserved in-
dustry recognition.
"A lot of times, they're working out in the
field doing all this quality work, and no-
body really sees that they're a part of it," said
Stacy."It's their profession.They really care
about what they're doing. It's not just a job,
it's what they love to do."
