With a large number of chains focusing on
providing elaborate amenities such as pools
and spa centers, Ryan maintains that at the
end of the day most people do not come to
hotels for those extras but to find a comfort-
able place to break-journey. My Place Hotels
will greet guests with just that, friendly staff,
clean rooms, a superior bed with a fair and
affordable rate.
Starting out relatively small has allowed the
group to stick to their core competencies
and really develop fundamentally. “We want
to focus on economy and extended stay ho-
tels which provide a comfortable room and
consistent service instead of focusing on pro-
viding extra amenities,” says Ryan.
The group currently has opened 12 proper-
ties with another six to eight in the construc-
tion phase, and another 25 in the near term
pipeline for development and construction.
