And it’s been that way since the beginning
in1996.
The concept was born when the company’s
founder, Happy Asker, then an 18-year-old
video store clerk inDetroit, leased a pizzeria
operation across the street from where he’d
been working. The east side location was in
close proximity to both a General Motors
and a Chrysler plant, which provided a
blueprint for the blue-collar footprint that
Happy’s has created as it’s evolved.
