Victor Hugo once said to love beauty is to see light.
To conjoin the concept, just consider when such ra-
diance is lovingly observed to originate from a beau-
tifully designed fixture or wall sconce, chances are
you’re not just seeing intended light, but also the
master craftsmanship of a manufacturer who has
imparted iconic degrees of illumination to homes,
hotels and retail centers throughout the world for
some 25 years. When it comes to shining successes
in industry, none beam as brilliantly as Canada’s
Contrast Lighting.
The splendiferous spark of an idea so often associ-
ated with genius is predominately depicted by a
light bulb. Such imagery effectively serves to ac-
count of a company that all began with an inno-
vation inspired by its inventive founder, Michel
Lecluze. Described as more of a “Brass-Beater”
than engineer, Lecluze had a fascination for light-
ing products and European-design flair. He holds
a variety of patents involving fixtures and miscel-
laneous related assemblies, yet it is one of his ear-
