In writing what ultimately became a prayer for the United Nations in 1942, author Stephen
Vincent Benét petitioned that all might come to know a common faith; one that enables
each to achieve respect, security, equal opportunity and an equal chance to do their best
– “and in that faith let us march toward the clean world our hands can make.” Such values
have shaped the success of an enterprise in Ohio where the diversity, respect for all and the
opportunity for each to achieve the best has, indeed, resulted in many hands helping to
make a cleaner world.
