toric locations for TV and film production
and a centralized permitting and marketing
house in the Mayor’s Office of Entertain-
ment. In 2014 alone, the TV and film indus-
try in Georgia added a $5.1 Billion econom-
ic impact to the state’s economy.
The enticing tax incentives have made it
common for productions to make the move
to Atlanta, but that’s not the only selling
point says Bastian. “There’s an established
talent pool here of make-up artists, hair styl-
ists, photographers and videographers who
are meeting the demand of production com-
panies choosing to film here.
“It’s been a huge and exciting boom,” Bastian
adds, “especially considering young children
and adults who aspire to be part of the film
and television industry; whether in front of
the camera or behind the scenes, they are
finding reputable work here time and time
again.”
