proud to have contributed to that sustain-
able future.
The client on the SIEC was TAFE, the
largest vocational education and training
provider in Australia. The design, mean-
while, was done by MPH Architecture. Ac-
cording to Matt, Lend Lease enjoyed excep-
tionally strong relationships with both of
those stakeholder groups.
“We attended meetings, we were heavily
involved with costings, and we were heavily
involved in the design,” he says. “At the end
of the day, we knew the project needed to be
handed over by a certain time, so not only
did we assess cost, but we also assessed time
frame. We made sure the materials and fit-
tings could be manufactured in time, and for
a good price.”
During that process, Lend Lease also as-
sessed what trade packages they would need
to hire and when, in order to make sure the
project was done on time. They also made
