For their transformational ef-
forts over the years, MBJ has
been rewarded with a long line
of industry accolades. Most re-
cently, they were awarded the
2019 World Travel Award for Ca-
ribbean’s Leading Airport – their
11th consecutive win in that cat-
egory.
In 2019, MBJ emerged as the
winner of that award from a
pool of 13 Caribbean compet-
itors. In a statement announc-
ing the win, Rafael commented
that MBJ was “honoured” to be
named the Caribbean’s Leading
Airport for the 11th consecutive
year. He said that “this presti-
gious award validates our ongo-
ing efforts to deliver world-class
service and showcase Jamaica’s
rich culture.”
MBJ is dedicated to improving
the infrastructure of the air-
port and to providing outstand-
ing service, Rafael added. That
dedication being noticed by the
global travel industry and trav-
ellers using SIA is gratifying.
