The business got its start after owner Bob Sil-
cott sold his countertop company in Denver
and relocated to Colorado Springs to found
his own millwork manufacturing business.
In 1980, Concepts in Millwork Inc was of-
ficially launched and in 2015, Silcott and the
company will proudly celebrate their 35th
Anniversary.
Bob’s philosophy for the company, which
Scott has carried forward, was always "Em-
ployees are the key to success." As a result,
growing from within and developing long-
term relationships with their employees has
been integral; something that Concepts in
Millwork has undoubtedly achieved. With
over 10 staff members who have been with
the company for over 20 plus years, it's clear
to see how deeply ingrained and celebrated
the element of family is to everyone involved.
Bob's daughter, Stephanie Robinson, took
an interest in the family business at a young
age and began working for her father during
the Summer at the age of 15 and in 2014, she
celebrated her 30th Anniversary with the
company in the role of Controller. In addi-
tion, Stephanie's husband, Scott Robinson,
holds the title of President of Concepts in
