FUTURE FOCUS
One of the challenges for Masterpiece Re-
tirement at the moment is keeping up with
the ever-changing needs of a surging aging
population. Garforth-Bles says the average
age of their residents is 84, adding they are
working closely with the government to un-
derstand those needs. “They’re grappling
with the future demands of the boomers, so
there are more stresses placed on aged care
facilities that we have to accommodate,”
he says. “We’re ten years out from a major
boom.”
Going forward, Masterpiece will address
today’s senior, their needs and what they’re
prepared to spend their money on. “We’re
working very closely with the government on
funding more beds and what they’re looking
