Laundry services are of particular concern
in healthcare operations because to do it
correctly can require significant capital in-
vestment in infrastructure, routine costs in
staffing and utility consumption, and severe
penalty for not complying with exceeding-
ly strict regulations that are as meaningful
to worker safety as they are to whomever
comes in contact with the assortment of
linens, towels, washcloths and other textiles
typically deployed in the treating of patients.
Many in healthcare have discovered that by
outsourcing laundry functions to those with
special expertise, it provides means to reduce
operational costs, reduce the risk of hospital-
acquired infections and the ability to more
greatly focus on core health services involv-
ing the diagnosing and treating of illness. In
Texas, the leading forces in healthcare turn
to a leader in linen care and cleaning known
as The North Texas Health Care Laundry
(NTHCL).
