to go, but chose an alternative method to
get there in the first couple of years,” said
George Payor, general counsel for Precision
Holdings of Brevard, the corporation that
manages the Precision Door franchise
blueprint from its corporate headquarters
in Titusville, Fla. “That was always the
long-termgoal.
“(Founding member Brian Tindall) had a
vision for what he wanted to accomplish a
long time ago. He had a great concept that
really was unique then, and even now there
is no other franchise system that specializes
in the garage door business like we do, on
the service and repair side.”
The inspiration for Tindall – now the
company's chief executive officer and still
its largest shareholder – was first put into
practical use in 1997, when he recognized
an unmet need in themarket for service and
repair of existing garage door systems, as
opposed to simply pursuing sales of new
