TURN-KEY OPPORTUNITY
At the moment, Medi-Weightloss has 86 fran-
chises in 22 states. They recently sold a master
franchise agreement for their first international
opportunity in Dubai. The current plan is to
open 10 clinics in Dubai. “I expect the open-
ing of our first Dubai location be in summer of
2013, depending on how fast some International
processes take,” Kaloust says.
As a franchisor, Medi-Weightloss offers an
extensive program for prospective owners. Fran-
chisees are given access to a number of corporate
professionals for guidance and support. Through
their highly-trained corporate team, franchisees
are given comprehensive, hands-on training on
all areas of clinic operations. “Our franchise op-
portunity is a turnkey opportunity,” he says.
“We have a support team that works with
each franchise through the entire process. We
analyze key performance indicators for our fran-
chises. We have a proprietary intranet and EMR
system that allows our franchisees to run their
franchise efficiently. For example, they can easily
keep track of slipping or dormant patients and
reach out to them.”
