In the Niagara region of Cana-
da, there are more than 5,500
families – 11,000 people, includ-
ing children – on the affordable
housing wait list. Over the last
decade, only 20 new affordable
housing units have been con-

time, the existing units are get-
ting older, and requiring more
maintenance and funding to
take care of them. The crisis is
real, the need is pressing, and
solving the problem requires
not only building more units,
but creating healthy spaces and
communities to support the
people living in them. Most de-
velopers are not interested in
coming up with those solutions,
or tackling those challenges.
Enter Penn Terra Group – one
of Niagara’s premiere develop-

ings, and a company that takes
great pride in being part of their
community.
“Our business is in this commu-

munity, the stronger our busi-
ness,” says John Kingston, CFO.
“Affordable housing is a real
crisis, and we are committed
to working with our partners to
help tackle it.”
