Johnson’s presentation will focus on les-
sons learned from Healthcare.gov and
how government can improve its technol-
ogy acquisition process to bridge the gap
between public and private sector inno-
vation. Johnson was among the first se-
lected in the first class of White House in-
novation fellows in August 2012. He has
not only helped develop an online mar-
ketplace connecting the government with
small tech firms, but also co-founded
Blue State Digital, the tech company that
built Obama’s 2008 campaign website.
The forum is anticipated to additionally
offer the latest insights and ideas on how
to harness technology to improve opera-
tional efficiency and better serve agency
missions. “What not to do when introduc-
ing a new website,” may make for a good
topic of discussion too. Nextgov Prime
event will be staged at the Ronald Reagan
Building in Washington D.C. For more
information, speaker updates and how to
request an invitation to attend, visit www.
Nextgov.com/prime - hopefully, that web-
site works.
