In his published collection of essays known as “The Conduct of Life,” Ralph Waldo Em-
erson wrote, “A little integrity is better than any career.” To expound on that thought,
in the conduct of business, a lot of integrity can make for a great career. That’s what
would be affirmed by the employees affiliated with a family of car dealerships lo-
cated in Washington. These dealerships have not only been routinely recognized as a
national leader in sales, service and customer satisfaction, but also distinguished as
one of the greatest places to work. In this case, with respect for the conducting of a
career, some insight on “Integrity” could well serve anyone in any industry.
