tains its objective to urbanize the streetscape
and restructure the area. Publically-com-
missioned, the plan provides an affordable
downtown living option that was non-ex-
istent before the inception of the Creative
Corridor. The novel townscaping connects
both public and private spaces encouraging
livability and openness. The project has been
well received andmet with plenty of acclaim,
positivity and profit.
“In the 500 block of Main Street, the upper
floors are being converted into apartments
and property values have skyrocketed,” he
said. “The developer bought the block of
buildings for $1.5 million and sold one of
the buildings for $4.6 million, 18 months
later.”
