that he benefitted from his father’s
reputation.
DaveChristie spent more than four decades
in the transportation industry andmanaged
four years in the Air Force, too, including
multiple combat tours as a munitions
loader during theVietnamWar.
So by the time Scott decided he’d follow the
old man’s occupational footsteps at age 23,
he was already taking advantage of
knowledge he’d gleaned and the doors his
father’sworkhad allowedhimtoopen.
But with that advantage, he concedes, also
comes some great responsibility.
