Porsche will introduce two 911 models
during the upcoming North American In-
ternational Auto Show in Detroit. The 911
Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S are Porsche’s
first models to combine the classic Targa
concept with new, innovative roof tech-
nology. Like the legendary 911 Targa of
1965, the new models include the distinc-
tive Targa roof bar (a movable front roof
section) and a wraparound rear window.
Unlike the old, the modern roof segments
can be opened and closed at the push of a
button. The fully automatic roof system
stows the Targa top behind the rear seats.
Both 911 Targa models also come ex-
clusively with all-wheel drive, a wider
rear track and body and the same Porsche
Traction Management (PTM) found in
