Cities for
Work-Life Balance
O
n the other end of the work-life
balance scale, six of the 10 cities at the
bottom of thi s l i st are f rom
California, where long commutes and an
elevated cost of living combine to create an
environment less than conducive to negotiating
betweenpersonal andprofessional.
The list illustrates, Raghavan said, the sacrifices
made to live inbig cities.
“It's the cost of living. Big cities are places where
it's pretty normal for someone to work two jobs,
especially if you make minimum wage,” he said.
“And lower income workers tend to live outside
the city.”
