tion (IPA), an accountable care organization

ACO) and implementation of a manage-
ment service organization (MSO) servicing
multiple Medicare Advantage plans.
As a medical group practice, Premier-
MD provides savings uniquely born from
group purchasing power, a component that
allow members to save on costs typically as-
sociated with the purchase of tangible goods,
such as office equipment and medical tools,
and malpractice premiums. The group prac-
tice additionally offers a financial advisory
board who can offer insight on issues related
to asset protection and investment programs.
Dr. Polner further adds that the group prac-
tice will spur the exchange of peer to peer
communication from “best practices” con-
cepts to information pertinent to a range
of local and national matters encompassing
trends in the healthcare industry.
Through PremierMD’s ACO initia-
tive, Dr. Polner says the goal is to ensure
Medicare recipients receive quality care
while both primary care physicians and spe-
cialists collaborate resulting in shared sav-
ings. By physicians negotiating with hospital
systems to reduce utilization costs and es-
tablishing evidence based disease treatment
protocols to reduce readmission rates, a win-
win proposition exists for everyone.

ships with Meridian Health (publicly traded
under MRDH), and Optum (a subsidiary
