his full focus is on expanding his current op-
erational base and fulfilling demand for pro-
fessional, affordable service.
While Spiezio confesses to be a work-
aholic, he does envision a day will come
when he is not so tasked with the demands
of work. Beyond investing in the fleet and
material resources to grow the company, he
has also invested in building a team of indus-
try veterans whose expertise is essential to all
facets of the operation. That staff includes a
few people who may not necessarily receive
special treatment, but Spiezio reserves spe-
cial pride in their participation. Spiezio and
his wife Louise, have raised three children,
two daughters and a son, who are now duti-
fully serving in the business. There’s Lianna
in accounts receivable/billing, and Jacque-
line who helps record weight-slips and track
productivity, and Joseph who helps provide
oversight on drivers’ qualifications as well as
management of the truck fleet and person-
nel. The all have a managerial role in the en-
terprise. Spiezio says he is both proud to see
his children not only working, but also earn-
ing their way in life, and each has provided
input that he says has been important to the
success of the company.
Though business dominates much of
Spiezio’s time, and he is as pragmatic and
calculating as anyone striving to be the best
at any business, it doesn’t take much to dis-
cern a kind of tenderness when he speaks of
his family. There can be little doubt that, like
any good father, his efforts in enterprise have
been made with mindfulness of preparing
a foundation for his children’s success and
their ability to access opportunities which
were not so readily provided for him start-
ing out in life. His achievements have been
met by overcoming professional challenges
