results in retaining caregivers – their reten-
tion rate hovers between 85 to 88 per cent,
while the average industry rate is closer 15
to 20 per cent. “That’s a big difference,” Bevis
understates.
A LEADERSHIP FUTURE
Since they’re a relatively new company, First-
Light expects dramatic growth over the next
decade-plus,” Bevis says. In the short-term,
they will add additional services that will be
geared to help seniors and people remain in-
dependent and comfortable in their homes.
Services introduced over the next 12 to 18
months will further build the FirstLight
Home Care brand.
Looking further ahead, Bevis sees
the company having a strong reputation as
a service leader in their industry. They will
continue to expand with new services help-
ing seniors and people with disabilities. A
larger expansion in all 50 U.S. states, as well
as international markets, is foreseen going
forward. “This industry is projected to grow
over 40 per cent in the next five years. We’re
very focused on providing the highest level
of care in our industry and truly being the
service leader,” Bevis concludes.
