ing. “We had a whole business team before
we even realized it,” says Danny.
The realization came after the family all relo-
cated to St. Petersburg, Florida. The cooking
experiments continued, but the team eventu-
ally baked-up gumption to try their hands at
selling the stuff commercially. They collabo-
rated on potential logos (sketched out on a
pad of paper in Danny’s room), sought out
containers which were acquired from a web-
site called “jarstore.com” and agreed upon a
name which not only references their own,
but also derives from the genus of a family
of botanicals. “It was perfect because we are
working with a lot of botanical extracts,” says
Danny.
Armed with what was now a box of
filled jars labeled “Nardo’s Natural” – the
Brothers hotfooted their way to none other
than the ultra-posh spa at The Don Cesar
Hotel on St. Pete Beach, a property affiliated
with Loews Hotels and renowned as “The
Pink Palace.”
