YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) Chief Financial Officer Sheila Taylor will leave the company March 31 to pursue opportunities outside the less-than-truckload industry.

Board member William Trubeck was named to the position on an interim basis. He has more than 30 years experience, served as chief financial officer at H&R Block Inc. (HRB) and Waste Management Inc. (WMI) and had led a variety of restructuring efforts.

Taylor’s departure follows an announcement from Chairman and Chief Executive William Zollars in September that he intends to retire “upon the successful completion” of the company’s recovery plan.

Taylor had been in the role since October 2009 and was previously vice president of investor relations and treasurer.

Last week, the debt-laden trucking company, which teetered on the edge of bankruptcy in 2009, reached a tentative agreement for a critical financial overhaul. The company has made amendments to its credit agreement and asset-backed securitization facility and won concessions won from its lenders and employees.
