He has additionally found some great
help a little closer to home. Bartsch’s oldest
son, Bryan, has been a partner in the busi-
ness for seven years. After earning a degree
in technology from Washington State Uni-
versity, Bryan has applied his talents in en-
gineering, science and technology to make
improvements in plant operations. His
youngest son, Brendon, more recently grad-
uated and is now helping Ecotex through
its on-site linen management and utiliza-
tion program. Their input is adding to the
quality of the services to which Ecotex is
dedicated and shows a promising new gen-
eration of family direction for an enterprise
that continues to flourish. Close to two mil-
lion dollars of new capital upgrades are cur-
rently underway at the company’s facility in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bartsch is genu-
inely optimistic about future growth. With
the rising cost in healthcare operations and
healthcare providers increasingly demand-
ing more cost-effective and convenient so-
lutions, Ecotex will prosper from its abil-
ity to demonstrate its values in cost savings,
quality-control and environmental steward-
ship, all complemented by the integrity of its
products and personnel.
“We identify with the needs of health-
care, and we think they identify with us,”
says Bartsch. “What we do does make a dif-
ference, and it’s helpful to others ... that’s
what keeps us in this industry.” And that is
what will keep Ecotex surviving and thriving
among the fittest.
